So for my final project in Fall quarter, I decided to expand on that original characters project.

Exploring the fluidity and transitory nature of identity is something I'm really interested in, and have often neglected for the pursuits of more "practical" or "purposeful" things. This project allowed me to work on the idea for a practical purpose-- an A.
The first part was a look at the concept of taking the blank canvas of a face and making different things out of it. This one is a little bit of a reversal of that, considering how each person is made up of little bits and pieces of different characters, rather than being simply one or the other.

note: I didn't put this up before because I'm way pissed about some files disappearing. THis is a photo of the final printed project, and is not even a good photo of it. I went back to digitally recreate it for posting here, but the original files of some of them are gone. It's obnoxious because there are a lot of photos that are SIMILAR to the one I used, but not quite right. And I picked these ones for specific reasons. Grrrrr. Back ups.
